About us
Tukio - an active and positive term meaning intervention - is an organisation dedicated to supporting African business with capital, knowledge and network.
Our international team has significant experience in building, funding and growing tech-enabled African businesses. We back start-ups that benefit people and the planet, primarily focusing on Eastern and Southern Africa.
Together, we have experience in managing African Venture Capital funds and B Corp businesses.
We are in the unique position to use our decades of experience to invest in the kind of founder who is cut out to seize the opportunities presented on the continent.

Capital

Three funds are in development, with Two being announced this Summer with the latter fund announcement planned for Autumn.

With hubs in Mombasa and Johannesburg, we engage with the local business community to inspire new economic activity. It’s not altruistic, but an active engagement strategy to scout impressive talent and companies with whom we can cooperate or support.
